Their initial price is that attracts you but there is a catch to it. They modify and re modify your plan after you signed up with them and end up paying higher that you signed up for. When you involved in accident you are totally on your own. I got involved in accident back in April 2016. I was going straight forward in my green light, a left turning car literally jump right in front of me rather than giving me a right off way caused the accident. I called the police and have them at the Sean. I called State Farm and informed them the accident in detail. Even though it took more than five hours for my car to be towed and taken to service center I was able to be on rental car the same day which was great. My car took long to be fixed and three days left for my rental to be expired. I called State Farm and asked them to extend my rental, the person I spoke with promised that the following day I would receive a call from them to let me know that they extended. No one called. I called them again the next day telling them I was promised a day beforer that a rental would be extended and I would be informed about it., The rental was not extended and no one called me, the person I spoke to promises that this won't happen again for sure someone would call me tomorrow to let me know that the rental was extended. I said okay. The next day no one called and I was on the final day of the rental expiration, I leave work early called State Farm that the rental was not extended despite my calling three days earlier asking them to extend my rental, today is a final day , by law today by six o'clock I had to return the rental to enterprise (the rental company) the person I spoke with transferred me to another line the answering machine said that person is not in the office leave a massage, I hang up and called back told them this was my second time calling I was transferred again and the same answering machine the same message. Hung up again and called back, this time I refused to be transferred, I was put on hold about ten minutes and then they hug up on me. I called back pissed off, I was put on hold again about fifteen minutes then finally they called the rentals and extended the rental. The other issue I called the agent that handles my claim to follow up, he told me he is waiting on police report, I called him every week for a month his respond was I am awaiting on police report and I have a problem obtaining it... his name is Steve Fulton, the amazing thing is he didn't interviewed the other driver, he didn't go out to see the other driver's car he is just siting, each time I call he says stupid things that you don't expect from a case handler. Once he said the intersection where the accident happened at is not traffic controled, I told his that all four sides have tragic lights , if he can't come in person to see it he can go on google maps and see it, he said sometimes google map doesn't show the reality, instead of hashing such nonsense why wouldn't he go out there and see it him self??? then he said it looks like speed was associated with the accident, I told him there is a seep camera right at the intersection so no one speeds up there, the other time he said the other car was hit from the back... I send him the picture of the other driver's car which shows the front passagere door damage, the other time he said the other insurance company said you didn't see the car you were in accident with, I told him I am on my right off way going straight forward the left turning car can come to the intersection and can pass behind me after I pass, and I don't expect the other driver would jump right in front of me while I have green light and going straight forward . I was urging him to have a viewing of the cameras around the intersection so my innocence would be profed and the case to be closed soon. He said once I have the police report everything will be determined. Five weeks passed still he did nothing and tells me the same story waiting on police report. I purchased ten dollars money order get down to police station myself and asked for report. I was told by the officer at the station at the accident if the police didn't got the car towed or a person is transported to hospital a police don't write a report, he also said your insurance company supposed to know this. I called Steve Fulton and asked him why he didn't know this till now??? He said each time I called He was told to wait for the report, which is a big lie! I asked him wether he knew who's property the camera at the intersection is? He said no. I asked him did you try to find out whose property it is so you can ask for viewing he said no! I asked him there's a seven eleven right at the intersection did you asked them if they have any camera that monitors their area and asked them if it is possible to view it? He said no, but if you want me I would do that he said. I was stunned with his answers... he is the one who is working on the case he suppose to do all this without anyone telling him. With much wondering I asked him how he try to settle this case then? He said I was hoping the police to Wrte a report. I gave up hope on him and tried to talk to a supervisor or any superior person about what's being done about my case but each time I called after explaining my complain they say they don't know where to transfer me. Steve Fulton's immediate supervisor is out the the office for two months so I won't be able to reach him? I asked does that supervisor has supervisor they said they don't know who that would be...amazing!!! And after three month of the accident Steve Fulton call and left me a massage saying we need to talk because he was not sure which direction I was heading at the time of the accident. I called back and asked him where he was all this time to ask me which direction I was Going? And after all they have a recorded statement from me on the day of the accident why was he not able to refer to it? I told him I am really pissed with the way he handles my case and I don't want to deal with him and asked him I want a supervisor to talk to... he gave me his supervisor number... I called and left a massage twice but I didn't get a call back. This simple case took a year to be settled. I was not even informed how they settled it but received a refusal for renewed notice from them stating that I was at fault. The amazing thing is at the same time I received another letter from my agent a renewal reminder notice. I called my agent office and told them that I received two different letters from State Farm one say renew your policy the other say State Farm refused to renew your policy, the person I talk to said let me call the other office and find out why and get back to you... as usual she didn't call back. This insurance company have a big issue with communication with each other, the people they hired have no experience or professional manners. They don't do their job at all. And when they fail to do their job they compromise your driving history. And there's no one there to listen to your complain and try to correct the mess with in their company . It looks like it is run by bunches of clueless people who thinks all they have to do is take your money. And when you are in accident even though you are not at fault since they don't have either experience or a will to do their job, they will say you are at fault and kick you out of their so called insurance. Leaving them is the best thing that happens to you but the danger is since they close the case as you are at fault your premium get higher wherever you go. With State Farm you will never be safe you can't trust them to protect you. Because they are the company has an issue of proper function. And from what I see they don't care about what we the customers trying to tell them. Company gets better only when they listen to the complain of the customers and try to correct their faults.
