AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH PROGRESSIVE - MAJOR
PROGRESSIVE WILL REQUEST DOCUMENTATION AND CLAIM IT NEVER RECEIVED IT. EXPECT MAJOR POLICY INCREASE AFTER WHAT THEY QUOTE YOU.
I received a quote from Progressive and signed up for a policy. Two weeks later, I received an e-mail with a cancellation notice requesting additional documentation. After submitting documentation via e mail and regular e mail 5 TIMES, I was told that since they did not received it, my insurance rate would go up by $900.
Frustrated, I switched back to my previous insurance company. And wait... canceling my policy with Progressive a major nightmare! Again, they asked me to submit proof of new insurance, which I did. When I called, they said that it takes up to five days to receive an e mail and process. On the fifth day, I was informed that the insurance documentation was not received. I had to send it four other times and called the Manager to cancel my policy.
But there is more... After canceling, my refund was next to nothing, as they applied the $900 increase to the charges. All in all, I was insured for one month plus one day, and paid three times as much as I ever paid in my lifetime.
